Start of operation:
Please use the trough cleaning cloth first thing every morning – when passing through the ironer, the steel wool strips point towards the trough. The deposits from the previous day are removed. The polishing felts complete the cleaning process.
Please use the full width of the trough!
Only now is waxing carried out.
In the morning and during the day:
Waxing takes place after cleaning. Normally, only a small amount of wax is sprinkled into the wax cloth in the morning. The wax pocket points towards the roller during the mangle pass.
The content is almost always sufficient for another waxing cycle without adding wax again.
In multi-shift operation, it may be necessary to add wax again.
We recommend:
Remove or spread any excess wax with a damp cloth.
Rule of thumb:
The better the wax, the lower the dosage and frequency of application.
End of operation: (in case of heavy soiling)
Use “Cleanpaste” with an aramid paste cloth 1-2 times a week (daily if necessary) for additional cleaning:
To do this, spread some clean paste in the pastry cloth pocket and run the pastry cloth through the heated ironer twice – with the pastry cloth pocket facing the ironer roller.
Leave to work for approx. 10 minutes with the roller raised. Then run wet old sheets (folded) through the ironer to pick up dirt until no more dirt is discharged.
Please treat the entire width of the troughs!
Remark:
The dosage and frequency of use may vary due to different operating conditions (temperature, type of laundry, degree of occupancy, speed, residual moisture, etc.).
The use of cheap, unqualified waxes is not recommended. These evaporate quickly and the quantities required are large. In most cases, these waxes leave burns and incrustations, clog the machine and the exhaust air ducts. They are also often the cause of faults such as pleating or electrostatic charging.
Our premium waxes (see basic equipment) achieve the best results with low dosage, even for the most demanding requirements.
If there is a lot of residue in the troughs (washing process), it is not advisable to increase the wax dosage (overgrowth of the cloth). The only thing that helps here is thorough mechanical trough cleaning using an abrasive belt or abrasive fleece. Eliminating the cause of the residue is a prerequisite for trouble-free continued operation.
